Here's a headstall that won't break the bank, but is so simple and pretty.
The regular cheek, roughout headstall is all things simple and yet so wonderful. A little bit of half flower stamping, and a little bit of brown buckstitch. I added a buckle with some turquoise stones, to make it a bit more feminine. But make no mistake, this beauty is built to work all day!
I love the simplicity of roughout, and love how versatile it is. Roughout will darken, or patina, with age. So the character of this piece will change over time, allowing it to stay timeless. I have a similar headstall in my personal collection, and love it on my palomino, buckskin, and sorrel horses!
