You might remember this set from last week... I was waiting on more conchos before I posted it. Talk about a great set!
This set was inspired by a copper and blue butterfly I had seen someone paint on IG. I loved the colors together! So naturally I had to try it - this set has the back ground cut away on the breastcollar and metallic copper laid behind. The lacing is also metallic copper. Soooo nice!
I painted the flowers a light blue metallic color. It's such a pretty color! You'll notice the small flower stamp also has the same blue color.
The oval silver conchos on the cheek pieces are so unique. I originally saw them used by Marsha's Closet. Loved how she used them! I paired the JW conchos with John Mincer flower conchos, as I think they work really we together. I love the big round conchos in the center of the breastcollar, they are super pretty. I used smaller flower ones on the sides.
I used copper spots on the crown piece and the sides of the browband. I used tan lacing on the ends of the breastcollar. This set is a medium brown color, with tan highlights. It's not bold, but a great mix of a 'softer' brown with the blue. It has a really 'pretty' feel to it - not bold, but so elegant. A great color combo for any color of saddle and horse.

The browband headstall in this set is a short cheek. It measures 35", with 2 holes smaller and 2 holes larger, for adjustment.
